Current Openings SURVEY PARTY CHIEF (Indianapolis, IN)
BLA currently has a position open for a Survey Party Chief position for the Indianapolis, Indiana office. Incumbent’s responsibilities shall include coordinating the activities of a field survey party, being responsible for the effective performance, training, and safety of all members of the field survey party and performing the most technically complex paraprofessional field surveying duties. Associates degree in surveying required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. 10 - 15 years of paraprofessional civil engineering experience, including at least one year of journey-level surveying experience. SIT or LS license is preferred but not required.

PROJECT ENGINEER - STRUCTURAL DESIGN (Indianapolis, Indiana)
Bernardin, Lochmueller and Associates, Inc currently has a position open for a Structural Design Project Engineer in our Indianapolis (IN) office. The position serves as a design team leader in the Structural Design department with responsible charge over the development of the work product in regards to design of new and rehabilitated highway bridges and other structures. Incumbent has charge of a group of engineers and technicians whose main focus is in the Bridge Design area. Incumbent may also serve as a design team member under the designated lead engineer on some of the larger and more complex projects. The position designs and guides structural engineering staff in the development of construction plans and specifications. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis preferred or equivalent plus 10 plus year’s experience. Candidate must also be a registered Professional Engineer.
